So we went Italiannies... Again

So today I'm gonna blog about food again.
Yes, Italiannies again. If you are bored with me, you can skip this post. :)
Previously I was busy. Busy flying back and forth from my hometown and now I'm not here sitting down gibberish about how I spent my Chap Gor Meh with my family. Folk tales mentioned that Chap Gor Meh is meant for couple. It's Chinese Valentines Day. Yet I spent my time with family and my grandpa was sick. :( But luckily he is getting better now. :D
It's not anything grand that I find it necessary to share it. In fact, I went to my favorite restaurant in case you don't know; Italiannies. I think most of you don't know because I never mention, did I. I was craving for some pizza or pasta I barely remember but I know we ordered both. From the pictures taken with my Blackberry. So be nice with the quality of the photos, they aren't nice. Blackberry always good, but they just lack of a good quality camera. Unlikely other smartphones, they are awesome in all ways. :/

There are four of us and we pick four main courses for sharing.
Garlic Chicken Pizza - Grilled chicken with pomodoro sauce, mozzarella cheese, green & red pepper strips and roasted garlic.
- Chosen by four of us after discussion. But the taste didn't impress us. It's like we are eating bread with some tiny chicken chunk and tomato spread. Oh yea, with some paprika as well. The paprika add the bonus, because I love paprika.

Fettuccine with Mushrooms, Turkey Hams and Peas - Fettuccine pasta sautéed with a medley of mushrooms, turkey ham and peas with cream.
- My roommate has her weird food intake. She doesn't consume ketchup and chilli sauces, she pick this entree. Creamy paste for the pasta.  Regardless of the creamy and cheesy taste, I find it really delicious! But of course, Ben's Carbonara is undefeatable.

Next on, Chicken Milanese picked by boyfie. It's his all-time-Italiannies-favorite. - Grilled chicken breast served over cream spinach, then topped with chilled tomato caper relish.
- Yummy, it do sounds yummy and looks yummy. Yes, indeed it is yummy! It is creamy but I'm not disgusted with it so it's a good choice if you love creamy cheesy taste yet you don't want to suffocate your taste buds with overflown of cheese and cream.

The forth entree was picked by me! Seafood Risotto - A medley of seafood sautéed in white wine, with Arborio rice simmered in clam and chicken broth.

- Yes it's a medley! In fact, we had all four dishes full with either cheeses or creams. It could be the encore for our meal. Sinfully fattening meal. This risotto was serve the last, by the time it was served we were all stuffed and no one move a fork for the looks-so-yummy rices. I had my favorite oysters, and Edmund had his favorite calamari. (Squid/Cuttlefish/Calamari, omg which is which.... whatever, I googled.  And calamari resembled the most. So, calamari.) We finished it in a blink! It is definitely a pick next time I visit Italiannies again! Yaay, in the check list together with Salmon Fettuccine.

DRINKS:

I had the Flings; Casablanca. It named on behalf of one of the old movie in the early 40-an. I love old movie, and stars like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. They gave me the Bad Girl Good Girl and fashion trending inspiration. Thumbs up for the taste buds stimulation (I learnt this word to describe food from a Korean oppa, he was back to Korea right now. We missed the days he was here hanging around with us.)
The boyfie had the Flings as well. He love Strawberry Splash. It's a little bit of sweet no doubt. If you can't take the sourness of Casablanca or other drinks, I recommend you to choose this.
The roommate had the Esprit; Passionfruits flavored. Before this I don't even bother to try Esprit, that make me worst in defining how this drink taste like. If you love to take soft drinks but pullout because of the contained sugar inside, yea this is good for you. It's more likely another soft drinks that appeal  for a more mature adult taste palette. It's refreshing that you may find it more delighting than soft drinks.
And Ed had the coffee as usual. He picked Café Latte. He love milk. All milky and cheesy stuff lmao. He made a confession that night that he should born in Italy. hahaha perhaps too much caffeine intake. Or milky inhale. hahaha
Anyway, we had a great night burst into laughter.
